What is the Borel Agricultural Park Project?

The East Bay Regional Park District is planning an agricultural park on a 10-acre property in Danville, CA, known as the Borel property. This site has a rich agricultural history and presents an exciting opportunity  to offer educational and recreational programming for the community. The project includes conducting feasibility studies, assessing community needs through outreach events and surveys, developing design options with cost estimates, and ensuring environmental compliance.

Originally part of a family farm, the Borel property has been in the Park District’s possession since 2014.  The park will serve as a valuable urban green space for visitors and the surrounding residential neighborhoods.

The goal of this project is to create an agricultural park, showcasing the area’s rich agricultural history.
